Obama’s approval at 72%

Post by manolo »

Folks,

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/1 ... 78202.html

President Obama’s approval rating is currently 72% among Muslims and at 59% among ‘other non-Christians’. It is also good to see him at 55% with Jewish people and 54% with no religion/Atheist.

As a keen multiculturalist and moderate socialist, these numbers square well with my own feelings. I think it is easy to see why the Muslim approval rate is high, as POTUS is widely seen as a friend of the minorities and those who might feel endangered in today’s America. I think we should expect no less of a good democratic president in today’s political climate.

There will be many families sleeping comfortably in their beds knowing that Barack Obama is in the Oval Office and is that not how it should be?

Poor obama. Never was very good at politics. Appealing to 1-2% of the population while pissing off the magority. Poor guy.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/gallup-vo ... le/2554404
Angry and frustrated voters are planning to use the midterm elections in one month to tell President Obama they oppose his agenda, the highest “no vote” percentage in the last 16 years measured by Gallup.

The polling outfit found that 32 percent of voters want to send a message of opposition with their vote, compared to just 20 percent who are sending a signal of support.

That is 13 points higher than in 1998 when former President Clinton was headed to impeachment for lying about his sex affair with a former White House intern and even a smidge higher — 2 points — than in 2008, when Americans were tired of President Bush’s military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Did Hillary just throw the democrats under the bus?

Post by Doc »

Panetta just released a book and has been doing interviews that are surprisingly critical of Obama. Panetta has always been a nice guy. However his first masters were the Clintons. Hillary has two problems in running for president First she has to win an election to replace a highly unpopular president that is turning into a disaster. One that is not only from her own party but one that she actually worked for and participated in forming the many of the same disasters that Obama is unpopular for.

The reason I am saying that Hillary just threw the Democrats under the bus is because Panette's book release so critical of Obama is timed to make the Democrats lose the Senate so Hillary can run against the REPUBLICAN Congress. These are not my ideas. I just heard a pundit (sorry I didn't catch the name) on the John Batchelor show talking about it.

What this does is makes it possible for Hillary to have credibility in saying "Look I tired to tell Obama but he wouldn't listen And it is just not me complaining about it to get elected president."

While rather sociopathic on Hillary's part, I think it is brilliant analysis.

Unfortunately Clinton is probably the biggest beneficiary of a GOP Senate. Look ymix, bloodletting all over the Democrat side. Who knew.

The Panetta thing is an outright racist hatchet job. If a teabagger is racist then this is racist. This is about getting rid of any association between Hillary and obama. Will the public buy it? I doubt it. Democrats are all the same, except the infighting.

Infighting happens ymix even among the homogenous.

It means that the Democratic nominee most likely will be another unknown like Obama. But this time the Democratic will be in complete disarray. This isn't a single election loss this is a generational loss.

Does President Obama suffers from "aberration in the brain"?

Post by Alexis »

That's what Russian PM Dmitri Medvedev says

It should be noted that Medvedev is generally regarded as a moderate and a pro-Western among Russian leaders.
Calling Russia ‘threat to humanity’ puts Obama’s sanity in doubt - Medvedev

I am very upset by the fact that President Obama, while speaking from the United Nations’ podium and listing the threats and challenges humanity is currently facing, put Ebola in first place, the Russian Federation second and the Islamic State organization was only in the third place. I don’t even want to comment on this, this is some sort of aberration in the brain,” Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview with CNBC television.

(...)

What sort of reset can be there under such conditions? We must first distance from this all and return to a normal position, at least to the starting position and only then we can start elaborating on the development of relations in the future,” he said.

The Russian PM also stressed that Russia can and will find new partners for routine trade and normal investment projects.
I don't think Obama is right listing Russia as a threat to humankind on a par with Ebola.

That being said, I don't agree with Medvedev calling in question Obama's sanity for this reason. Less I have to call in question sanity of most of European leaders too. I reckon the propagandists know the difference between what they say and reality, I see them as liers rather than as mental cases.

What do you think? Are the USA, are other countries led by psychos?

It may not be a necessary condition to be a sociopath/psychopath to run a country, but it probably helps.

The Russian PM should start by looking much closer to home.

Obama makes rare campaign trail appearance, some leave early

1 of 3. U.S. President Barack Obama waves as he arrives for a campaign rally for Maryland Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown (R) at a High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland October 19, 2014.

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama made a rare appearance on the campaign trail on Sunday with a rally to support the Democratic candidate for governor in Maryland, though the event was marred somewhat by early departures of crowd members and a yelling heckler.

With approval levels hovering around record lows, Obama has spent most of his campaign-related efforts this year raising money for struggling Democrats, who risk losing control of the U.S. Senate in the Nov. 4 midterm election.

Many candidates from his party have been wary of appearing with him during their election races because of his sagging popularity.

Not so Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown of Maryland, who is running for governor, and Governor Pat Quinn of Illinois, who is running for re-election.

"You've got to vote," Obama repeated over and over at a rally for Brown in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, near Washington.

Democrats have a history of not turning up to vote in midterm elections.

"There are no excuses. The future is up to us," Obama said.

Some 8,000 people turned out for the event, held in a noisy school gymnasium. But a steady stream of people walked out while he spoke, and a heckler interrupted his remarks.

Obama's help, or lack thereof, may not matter much to Brown, who is 11 points ahead of Republican opponent Larry Hogan, according to an average of polls by RealClearPolitics.

Quinn's race is tighter. He is ahead of Republican Bruce Rauner by 1.8 points, according to the RealClearPolitics average.

The governor, echoing the president at other Democratic events, encouraged the crowd at Chicago State University to get to the polls.

"When we vote, we win," Quinn told the auditorium of some 6,200 people.

Obama picked out people from the crowd whom he knew, and seemed to relish being back in Illinois.

"It's good to be home," Obama said. "I care about what happens here," he said to applause.

Obama said he planned to cast his vote early on Monday. He is scheduled to spend the night at his Chicago home.

Tina Brown: ‘I Don’t Think [Obama] Makes [Women] Feel Safe’

Tina Brown: ‘I Don’t Think [Obama] Makes [Women] Feel Safe’ [VIDEO]

10:31 AM 10/20/2014

Alex Griswold

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” former Newsweek and The Daily Beast editor Tina Brown said that Democrats were struggling to attract female voters ahead of the 2014 midterms because women don’t feel safe under President Obama’s handling of the various crises facing the nation.

“The fact is that Obama’s down with everybody; let’s face it. And I think that particularly for women, I don’t think he makes them feel safe. I think they’re feeling unsafe. They feel unsafe economically. They’re feeling unsafe with regard to ISIS. They’re feeling unsafe about Ebola. What they feel unsafe about is the government response to different crises.

I think that they’re beginning to feel a bit that Obama’s like that guy in the corner office, you know, who’s too cool for school, calls a meeting, says this has to change, doesn’t put anything in place to make sure it does change, then it goes wrong and he’s blaming everybody. So there’s a slight sense of that.”

In America, "no war on women"

rather

full blown "war on men" (by woman)

A friend divorcing in "California" .. he wiped out by his evil wife, all legally .. man are powerless in America

This thing one of those "gay marriage", "war on woman" rubbish things .. pendulum too much to "pervert" side.

Without a doubt Obama was a war hawk in 2008. He is the only American politician I know of that said he would considered invading Pakistan.

Otherwise what Lincoln said.... You can fool some of the people all of the time.

all Kabuki

This no "Hollywood" .. that every 4 or 8 yrs they come up either with "CowBoy" or "Casablanca" script

American foreign policy is a geopolitical foreign policy, put in effect at least 50 yrs ago .. presidents just implement section of that script falling on their time frame, they do not make the foreign policy, just do as script says

Yes, true, each president ads his "spices", has his own style .. but the policy same no matter Dems or Reps

The rest is for foolin Joe

Things went wrong with Chaney/Bush/Rumsfeld "adventurism", badly wrong .. you brake it, you bought it

At the end of W. presidency the scope of disaster was clear .. Hussein Barack was "selected" (and not elected :) ) to fix the damage

He doing his best
