Iko Iko is a New Orleans Mardi Gras Indian classic from the days when the black tribes actually fought each other. Chief, Spy Boy and Flag Boy are officer positions in the gangs. The "Iko Iko a ney, jocamo feenah a a mane, jocamo feenah ney" is derived from a Haitian voodoo chant from documented by Milo Rigaud in "Secrets of Voodoo" (City Lights, San Francisco 1985, p.128)
