I shrugged when I first looked at this, because the Gregorian calendar does a pretty good job of maintaining celestial alignment. But then I read the article, and it makes not only an interesting case for the new calendar, but for moving away from time zones as well. I like it, it's clean and logical.
No time zones would be a bit strange. In our Mountain time zone, our work day would officially begin at 1700 and end at 0000, which would roughly coincide with winter's sunrises and sunsets.
Sure would make the timing of international calls easier to figure out.
