I think one of the first questions that crosses the mind of many 1st time visitors to Japan is

"What the hell is a a Pocari? And why would I want to drink it's sweat?"

In rural China, funerals often feature young women performing striptease routines for guests.
It’s seen as a way to get more people to attend.

A Wednesday report by the Beijing News newspaper said that, in some rural areas, people use “sexy and stimulating” entertainment to draw more guests to a funeral and as a way to indicate family prosperity.

Nor are such shows tame — funeral striptease services typically cost over 2,000 yuan ($320) per show, a high price for many rural families, and the groups offering these shows compete with each other by “pushing the limit” in order to drum up future business, according to a 2006 special video report by China’s Central Television.

A report by the Tencent Holdings news site earlier this week criticized the practice as representing a “culture deficit” in rural China, where it said cultural and recreational activities are scarce. It blamed local officials for providing “tacit permission” for the illegal shows.

Good idea .. funerals are "celebration of life", why be "sad" ? ?

Texas Councilman Forgets To Turn Off Microphone While Using Bathroom

GEORGETOWN, Texas (CBS Houston) — It was a scene straight out of “The Naked Gun.”

Rachael Jonrowe, mayor pro tem for Georgetown, Texas, was speaking during a council meeting about deadly infectious diseases when everyone in the room could hear someone going to the bathroom.

It turns out a councilman forgot to turn off his microphone.

Shortly before Jonrowe begins speaking, the council member can be seen getting up and leaving the room.

Jonrowe starts laughing when the councilman begins relieving himself and then totally loses it when he flushes.

A fellow council member appears to alert his colleague to the incident after he returns to his seat.

Leslie Nielsen would be proud.
