Good to know the horsecrap stills flows thick and heavy on the commie- loving side of the aisle, here as well as in the Beltway.

I remember the good old days when socialists used to have a certain sympathy for regular folks that were outmaneuvered by huge business interests and evil governance. Inadequate work ethic? You mean they should, I don't know, not sleep or something? Or are you ignoring the historically high levels of hours worked by the American worker? Lack of respect for education? You mean the lack of respect that eventually led to ( nationally) too many college educated, not enough tradesmen- type profile that we have now? That one?

And what " pre- modern " attitudes? The ones that don't reflect every latest twist that the feminist -studies majors manage to puke through the TV/internet/ bedwetting left media?

Keep up with that line. Trump is up 5 with likely voters as of today. Your elitism will bring about President Trump. You deserve an actual fascist, but that's as good as we can manage.
When I first read Zack's post, I thought it was from a racist, right winger, probably living in some swanky NYC zipcode, pulling down big bucks, talking about cultural decay in urban black neighborhoods. The second time I read it....... I thought the same thing..... :?

Many thanks to Typhoon & Demon for pointing out the difference. ;)

Typhoon wrote:Camille Paglia | PC feminists misfire again, as fearful elite media can’t touch Donald Trump
Can there be any finer demonstration of the insularity and mediocrity of today’s Manhattan prestige media? Wow, millionaire workaholic Donald Trump chased young, beautiful, willing women and liked to boast about it. Jail him now! Meanwhile, the New York Times remains mute about Bill Clinton’s long record of crude groping and grosser assaults—not one example of which could be found to taint Trump.
Too good not to quote
Blame for this fiasco falls squarely upon the New York Times editors who delegated to two far too young journalists, Michael Barbaro and Megan Twohey, the complex task of probing the glitzy, exhibitionistic world of late-twentieth-century beauty pageants, gambling casinos, strip clubs, and luxury resorts. Neither Barbaro, a 2002 graduate of Yale, nor Twohey, a 1998 graduate of Georgetown University, had any frame of reference for sexual analysis aside from the rote political correctness that has saturated elite American campuses for nearly 40 years. Their prim, priggish formulations in this awkwardly disconnected article demonstrate the embarrassing lack of sophistication that passes for theoretical expertise among their over-paid and under-educated professors.

When I saw the reporters’ defensive interview on Monday with CNN anchors Kate Bolduan and John Berman, I felt sorry for the earnest, owlish Barbaro, who seems like a nice fellow who has simply wandered out of his depth. But Twohey, with her snippy, bright and shiny careerism, took a page from the slippery Hillary playbook in the way she blatheringly evaded any direct answer to a pointed question about how Rowanne Brewer Lane’s pleasantly flirtatious first meeting with Trump at a crowded 1990 pool party at Mar-a-Lago ended up being called “a debasing face-to-face encounter” in the Times. The hidden agenda of advocacy journalism has rarely been caught so red-handed.
Typhoon, you beat me to the post again. I love Camille!

Zack Morris wrote:As Trump's "policies" begin to take some amorphous shape, we can now see in which direction they are headed: Stupid. And I mean with a capital 'S'! He's surrounding himself with idiots, so there goes one of the central pillars of his platform, that he would appoint the "smartest" people. And the more we delve into his history of anger issues and textbook extreme narcissism, the picture of the real Trump that is beginning to resolve itself is less business genius and more Antikardashian. I wonder what Nap has to say for himself and the "personal anecdotes" of Trump he was comforting himself with now?

Don't get me wrong, though. This will be the end of America regardless of whether Trump wins or not. But I'm thoroughly enjoying the implosion of American conservatism. The Republican elites wanted to play silly political games with their obstructionism and ended up being out-gamed. The Democrats are now the pro-business ticket. There just isn't enough brain power on the other side of the aisle :)
I don't really know what you're aiming at or what an antikardashian is.....

As for what I have to say for myself, well, if in for a penny then in for a pound. Pretty sure I never called him a business genius (or a good man for that matter) though. There are pages of squabbling with Mr.P on the point that being capable of running a private business for 40 years doesn't make him the 'Michael Jordan of business'. As for his character, well you had a good point that commercial real estate tends towards the slimy and unscrupulous. Arguing against that can be arguing around the margins thing- or in 2008 terms, lipstick on a pig. And yet, the best uncovered so far has been gossip about his dating life.

Like I said to Alex, if that's the height of the depravity, then get the floats ready because the parade will be YUUUUUGE.

A Pro-Robber Barron social progressive/fascist type. Though completely inter-changable with communist for our purposes. Members of the communist party (5% of the population) of the Soviet Union were quite rich in comparison with the rest.

The Robber Barrons said much the same thing that Zack says about people in the rust belt. With the same kind of arrogant contempt.

Perhaps Zack's income taxes should be raised to 120% of income. ;)

Having just completed a massive and annoyingly time-consuming cleanup due to gross violations of the SFRs, I am not in the mood to undertake another one.

The emphasis is on in relative comparison.

The Robber Barrons started and funded many of the great universities of the USA: Stanford, University of Chicago, Carnegie-Mellon, Vanderbilt, Duke, Rice, Rockefeller, and others.

Carnegie built beautiful public libraries across N America.

An odd way of demonstrating their "arrogant contempt" for the general US population

Trump is the final nail in the TP's coffin.

EDIT: An interesting and completely opposite point of view.

Heh. You guys think the tea party is a website. It's so amazing, in the information age, where you can access things like exit polling, so few access it let alone grapple to understand it.

its all very zen - their is no tea party. everything is the tea party.

vigourously rubbing your scrote in someones face is the path to wisdom, a meditation technique fitting of the modern age.

'you guys' should know that.

im sure he has picked up alot of the dissatisfied republicans who aligned with the tea party, im not convinced he has picked up the conservatives with his consistent stances on guns, abortion and states rights.

Perhaps. He does have problems with the chamber-of-commerce Republicans and social conservatives. And let's see if he can get enough single women.

But the Trump Train is picking up speed- can't you hear it yonder? It sounds something like this:
